This Friday night Gloucester Park hosts the running of The Lewis named after one of the greatest harness drivers of all time, Chris Lewis.
Chris Lewis became just the third driver to reach 6000 winners in September 2023 after having his first winning drive when he was just 16 years old in South Australia behind a horse named Classic Heir.
In 2010, Lewis was inducted into the WA Racing Hall of Fame having won two Inter Dominions with Carclew in 1976 and Village Kid in 1986.
